Macomb High Schools Recognized for Outstanding Sportsmanship

The Fall Michigan High School Althletic Association has recognized teams from Dakota, L'Anse Creuse North and Lutheran North for displaying outstanding sportsmanship during select FMHSA postseason tournament competitions.
The FMHSA, through the Good Sports Are Winners! Program, recognized 170 teams representing 190 schools from across Michigan.
The association and its corporate partner MEEMIC Insurance will distrubute a variety of awards to honor the selected schools' sportsmanship efforts.
Dakota and Lutheran North were recognized in football, L'Anse Creuse North was recognized in girls volleyball and Dakota was also recognized for boys soccer.
Schools are evaluated by tournament management at district, regional and final round sites. The fall awards program recognizes team sports competing in football, boys soccer and girls volleyball at the tournament level.
One school receives recognition at each MHSAA tournament center for having met the highest sportsmanlike standards.
More than 500 teams will be recognized in 13 activities for their sportsmanship efforts this academic year during MHSAA tournaments.
