Sept. 15 is National Tell a Police Officer 'Thank You' Day

September 15, 2012 has been dedicated as National Tell a Police Officer “Thank You” Day.

Macomb Sheriff Explorer Post 2565 would like to recognize the hard working men and women of the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

There will be displays set up in Sheriff’s Office parking lot for the public to come and check out what we do. We want to recognize all officers who work or volunteer here (reserves, dispatchers, corrections, deputies, and command).

The public is invited to stop by to meet and greet members of the department and say “Thank You” for the work performed in the community. Public safety information, kids’ giveaways and activities will be available.

The sheriff's office is located at 43565 Elizabeth Rd., Mount Clemens, MI 48043.

I'll be the first to say THANK YOU! Macomb County Sheriff's officers get the job done, quickly! Thank you for keeping our neighborhoods and streets safe.
