$1,000 Bill Yanked in Jewelry Store Smash-and-Grab

Rare bills swiped from store
Macomb County Sheriff's deputies responded to an alarm at a jewelry store around 11:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Romeo Plank and 21 Mile.
They found someone broke the front window at Matt's Jewelry Brokers. The owner said a $1,000 bill was missing along with a $500 bill, according to the Sheriff's Office.
In the early morning of Feb. 4, police observed a 25-year-old Clinton Township man breaking into the same business. The suspect got into his Honda Accord, leading police on a chase before crashing his car and getting placed under arrest, the Sheriff's Office stated.
Investigators are exploring whether he had any connection to the Jan. 31 crime at the business.
Expensive liquor hid in coats
A 26-year-old Warren man and 31-year-old Detroit man are accused of stashing high-end liquor bottles in their coats the afternoon of Jan. 30 from the CVS Pharmacy at Romeo Plank and 23 Mile area, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
The two fled in a Chrysler PT Cruiser with a flame painted on the side. With the car description, deputies were able to find the vehicle and recover the merchandise. A 26-year-old Clinton Township woman, who was arrested with them, denied knowing of their alleged thefts, the Sheriff's Office stated.
The men admitted their involvement in a similar larceny that took place the previous day in Harrison Township, the Sheriff's Office said.
