Local drivers were finding relief at the pump early this week, with prices as low as $3.17 in the Macomb Township area, according to GasBuddy.com.
The average price of around $3.26 Monday was lower than the previous week of approximately $3.28 and down from last month's $3.41. The average gas price was higher last year at this time, hovering around $3.49 in Metro Detroit, the site reports.
According to GasBuddy.com, some of the lowest prices Monday in the Macomb Township area were:
- $3.17 at Kroger, 16450 26 Mile and Romeo Plank.
- $3.19 at Shell, 22961 Hall Road and North Ave.
- $3.19 at 7-Eleven, 45100 Gratiot Ave and Hall Rd.

$3.07 at Costco on 1/08 p.m. I always use gasbuddy.com before buying fuel.

I used my Christmas Kroger points yesterday at 23 and Hayes to fill up for $2.47!
