With the hot rods of Dream Cruise driving all over town, this pairing of a classic car and historic home in Chelsea was our winner for week 11 of the 2012 Your Patch of Michigan photo contest.

Reader Angela Powers says of her winning picture of an Auburn Boattail roadster and a historic home: "The photo was taken while we were on a day trip to Battle Creek. We, my husband, my 14 year old and 9 year old, stopped in Chelsea on the way home to do some geocaching.  The color of the car complimented the house and I knew the photo would look really cool!  It was taken the Sunday after July 4th."

"What says Michigan more than a classic car cruising around town. And the Victorian homes like these add charm to our small towns. With Dream Cruise and other historic home and car shows in full gear this summer, it seemed like a perfect pairing for the contest."

After Labor Day, we'll pick a grand prize winner from all of the weekly winners.

The grand prize winner will receive a certificate for a two-night stay at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island (to be used before Oct. 31, 2013, and blackout dates and other restrictions may apply). The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $600.
