The Cougars captured a Class A district championship on Friday night by defeating Port Huron 54-49, according to the MHSAA.
Olivia Savage scored 30 points to lead Dakota, according to the Macomb Daily.
With the victory, Dakota improves its record to 19-3 overall and advances to a Class A regional semifinal game against Sterling Heights on Tuesday, March 5. The game will take place at Lake Shore High School at 7 p.m.
