Election Commission OKs 14 Board Candidates for Aug. 7 Ballot
The names of all 14 Republican candidates who filed for posts on the Macomb Township board will appear on the August primary ballot.
The Macomb Township Election Commission has certified 14 board candidates to appear on the Aug. 7 ballot.
The commission met publicly Monday to verify the names of 14 Republican candidates that will be printed on the August primary ballot. Each of these candidates has filed for one of the township's seven board seats.
There are no Democratic contenders in this race.
A third name was recently added to the supervisor's race when Trustee Janet Dunn withdrew her bid for re-election to her current post to run for the township's top spot instead.
The Macomb Township-specific section of the Aug. 7 ballot now stands as follows:
Supervisor (1 seat)
- Incumbent Supervisor Mark Grabow, who ran and won as a Democrat in 2008, but will run as a Republican this year.
- Trustee Janet Dunn
- Charles Missig
Clerk (1 seat)
- Incumbent Clerk Michael Koehs, who ran unopposed in 2008.
- Cathy Imbronone
Treasurer (1 seat)
- Incumbent Treasurer Karen Goodhue, who was appointed to the position in 2010 to complete the term of former treasurer Marie Malburg.
- Thomas Christ
Trustee (4 seats)
- Incumbent Trustees Roger Krzeminski, Dino Bucci, Nancy Nevers
- Clifford Freitas
- Ernie Laing
- Renee Michaels
- Maria Napolitano

Oh yes, Cathy Imbronone. Her and her sister did whatever it took to open their tavern. They even did things without permits and gave Macomb Township a hard time about the laws they were supposed to follow to open the Tavern legally. Respectfully, is this the kind of clerk Macomb Township needs?? They did nothing but poke fun and run down Macomb Township when it came to following the rules to open the Tavern
