Gas Prices Fall in Macomb Ahead of July 4 Holiday

The lowest gas price in Macomb Township was $3.37 per gallon on Friday and AAA predicts prices will continue to fall as the July 4 holiday approaches.

Whether you're packing up to leave town or picking up a few last-minute items for your Fourth of July backyard barbecue, chances are you will need to fill up the old gas tank.

You're in luck this week as gas prices continue to drop, inching ever closer to the $3 mark.

The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas is currently $3.41 in Michigan, according to MichiganGasPrices.com. That's down 14 cents from the start of the week and may still not be the lowest price we see before July 4.

Around 1.4 million Michigan residents are expected to travel for the July 4 holiday, which is the highest projection since 2008, according to AAA estimates.

The lowest price in Macomb Township Friday was the Kroger at 26 Mile Road and Romeo Plank at $3.37 per gallon, although $3.45 per gallon was spotted at several Hall Road and 21 Mile stations.

Here's where you'll find the lowest price per gallon right now:

  • $3.37 – Kroger, 26 Mile and Romeo Plank
  • $3.39 – 7-Eleven, 24 Mile and Garfield
  • $3.45 – BP, Hall and Hayes
  • $3.46 – Kroger, 21 Mile and Card
