Macomb Corners Park Opens Today for Summer Season

Parts of the park have been open, weather permitting, since March, but the athletic fields, restrooms, concessions and inline skating rink open Sunday, April 15.

It's official. Macomb Corners Park is open for the summer.

While Macomb Township's Parks & Recreation Department opened the park on a weather-permitting basis in March, only the playscape and one-mile walking path were available for use.

With the official opening of the park today, residents can now use these features plus the park's six lighted ball diamonds, inline skating rink, concession area, walking path, sand volleyball courts, football fields, soccer fields and restrooms.

Providing the township's only public ball diamonds, other than those on school property, Macomb Corners is home to numerous youth and adult leagues, including the Macomb Township Little League and Clinton-Macomb Girls Fastpitch League.

The township has contracted with Big Dog Hot Dogs of Inkster to provide concessions for this year's games and special events.

The park, which is located north of 25 Mile Road between Luchtman and Broughton roads, is open dawn to dusk.
