Macomb Township Man Killed in Crash on I-696
Michigan State Police are investigating the accident.
A Macomb Township man was killed in a car accident on I-696 in Farmington Hills Thursday afternoon, according to media reports.
The 22-year-old was driving on eastbound I-696 west of Orchard Lake Road around 1:30 p.m. when he lost control of his SUV, ran off the road, and drove through a ditch, according to an article in the Oakland Press.
Michigan State Police are investigating the accident, according to WYXZ.
The police told the Oakland Press that alcohol was not a factor and the man was wearing his seat belt.

I don't remember any bad weather or roads? Maybe he was cut off, or had a blowout. NO alcohol and wearing a seat belt sounds like a responsible driver to me. Let's not judge. RIP.
