UPDATE: Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to Record $500 Million

No one matches the numbers drawn Tuesday night in the multi-state game.

You didn't win Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot? No worries. Neither did anyone else.

Now, the prize amount has grown to the highest-ever in the game's 15-year history. Friday night's estimated jackpot sits at $500 million, already up from Wednesday morning's initial estimate of $476 million. The drawing occurs at 11 p.m., with a 10:45 p.m. cutoff for buying tickets.

For those still needing to check, Tuesday's winning numbers were 09, 19, 34, 44, 51 and the gold ball of 24.

Two tickets purchased in Michigan won $250,000 for matching the first five numbers.

A Northville family found themselves in the same situation earlier this month, but for them, their prize was $1.25 million. They bought five tickets, bearing the same numbers they've been playing for years. Five of the numbers finally came out, winning them the $250,000 prize, times five.

Of the top 10 largest prizes ever awarded in the multi-state game, none of the winning tickets have ever been sold in Michigan.

It is fun to buy a ticket and dream the impossible dream, but we need to remember the lottery is a dream it is not a plan. Planning is better than dreaming. Planning to make the world better for everyone is what we should work towards. Instead of bringing hope to ourselves individually we should work at bringing hope to everyone. The world would be a much better place if we all believe in this and worked together. Check out all the benefits a united earth would bring. http://chengx-ue.blogspot.com/ It is so simple it might work.

If I won...

I would love to have an opportunity to restore, preserve many of the early 20th century buildings in downtown Detroit. The Book Tower on Washington Boulevard is one of my favorites and now stands vacant of tenants and will go the way of the Train Station if no one puts the time and money into restoring this beautiful 1916 thirty eight story tower.

I also would buy Kristin Bull a nice vacation for her and her family... anywhere on the plant... Kristin where would you like to go?

If I won I would establish a few group homes for teenage mother's and their children...providing them all the tools and education that they need to be a sucess personally and in the career of their choice. I would also donate $$$ to the organizations I donate to now (but it would be a lot more $$ obviously). To ASPCA, World Vision, and Feed the Children. I would also travel to third world countries to build schools and plumbing because I think everyone deserves and education and clean water! Love you all!

If I won...

Help create public schools for children 9-12 that include "free boarding" for those who come from inpoverished or high crime/drug areas in our state. Build these schools in "the middle of nowhere", with the true spirit of Michiganian philanthropy and entrepreneurship! ... Lets all have a Michiganian goal of educating 1,000,000 children out of poverty, from both rural and urban poverty areas riddled with high crime and drugs over the next 15 years. Let's get these young bright minds out of the ghetto first before we try to teach the curriculum that will forward them on to college.
