Outdoor Services Return to Immanuel Lutheran for Summer Months

Beginning Memorial Day weekend, 9:30 a.m. Sunday services will be held behind the chapel.

Immanuel Lutheran Church will take its Sunday morning worship service outdoors again this summer, starting Memorial Day weekend and continuing through Labor Day weekend.

“This service is informal and we tell everyone to dress as if they were going to a picnic," said Senior Pastor Michael Lutz in a prepared statement. "We also tell them to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. During the summer months, this service is our most popular service and we would encourage anyone to come. All of our other worship services are in an air conditioned facility. We have the best of both worlds.”

The 9:30 a.m. service is held on the lawn behind the chapel off 21 Mile Road and Romeo Plank. This outdoor service has been a tradition at Immanuel Lutheran for more than 24 years.

Everyone is invited to attend.
