Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Your 2011 Winter Taxes are Due
Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, is the last day to pay 2011 winter taxes without penalty in Macomb Township.
Winter taxes for 2011 are payable through Feb. 14, 2012 without penalty in Macomb Township. After Feb. 14, a 1 percent late fee will be added to the bill, good through Feb. 29.
As of March 1, all unpaid taxes are forwarded to the Macomb County Treasurer for payment and marked as "delinquent." At this stage additional penalties are added by the county Treasurer's Department.

How to Pay
To pay your taxes in person, bring your entire tax bill to the Treasurer's Office, 54111 Broughton Road, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
A secure drop box, where payments can be deposited 24 hours a day, is located at the top of the ramp by the rear entrance of the Town Hall. Taxes can be made with cash, check or money order.
Taxes can also be paid online with a debit or credit card. Convenience fees are applied to all payments except fund transfers from a bank account.
A kiosk is also available in Town Hall to allow residents to process debit or credit card payments on site. The Treasurer's Office cannot process such payments, but the kiosk provides a direct connection to the township's online bill pay service. The kiosk is located in the town hall lobby.
