Sheriff Arrests Four Men for Marijuana Possession, Investigates Home Break-Ins

The following information was supplied by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Traffic stop results in drug bust

A traffic stop in a subdivision near 23 Mile and Card Road resulted in a drug bust on Nov. 27, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers arrested four men: an 18-year-old Macomb Township resident, another 18-year-old from Gregory, MI, and two men from Detroit, ages 21 and 19. The men were taken into custody after officers found drugs in multiple places in the car.

The arrests were made around 10 p.m. near Murray Drive and Romeo Road in Macomb Township.

Home break-ins may be related

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Department believes the same person may be responsible for two separate Nov. 26 home invasions.

Someone kicked in a garage entry door in one invasion on the 48500 block of Hunter Drive, but did not gain access to the home.

However, a suspect did manage to get into a home located on the 15600 block of Winter Park Drive. In that home invasion, a brick was thrown through a sliding glass door. After, someone stole jewelry and coins. Police believe the same person is responsible for both.

Why does the media make it sound like marijuana users are dangerous criminals? I love how the police decided to harass and make a big scene over a bunch of 18 year olds. Watch in a few years as people begin to catch on, and laws start to change.

I would like to see some evidence that the break ins were related. This article reeks of ignorance and speculation with no supporting facts.

But good job police, you keep us safe from bored kids who don't threaten our well being in any sense. Especially here in Macomb..

I could not agree more Greg. Finally another well informed citizen here in wonderful Macomb Twp. I live in a some what affluent area and most of my peers and neighbors are brainwashed by proganda just like this non sense. Why is it that police cant find murders and rapists yet they spend countless ours arresting teenagers smoking pot? Nice to know my tax dollars are so well spent. The war on drugs is a farse same people waging the "war" are getting rich.
