Solnik Makes Mark for Dakota Bowling

Senior helped Cougars reach state finals this year.

Marissa Solnik had a season to remember for the Dakota bowling team.

Solnik helped the Cougars win a Division 1 regional team championship in late February.

In addition, the senior also finished second at the individual regional tournament. Her score of 1,235 was just three pins behind regional champion Alyssa Meade of L’Anse Creuse North.

By virtue of her strong showing in the regionals Solnik advance to the individual state finals, where she placed 20th with a six-game total of 1156 at the individual bowling state finals on March 2 in Muskegon.

Solnik also helped Dakota reach the semifinals at the team bowling state championship.
