Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Thank You for 365 Patch-tastic Days, Macomb!

Macomb Patch celebrates its one-year anniversary today, Dec. 8. Thank you for a wonderful year, Macomb, and thanks in advance for the year to come.

It's incredible how fast a year goes.

One year ago today, I was sleep-deprived, stressed and glued to my laptop screen to watch Macomb Patch begin its life on the World Wide Web.

That's right. Macomb Patch is one-year old today and though I am still sleep-deprived, stressed and glued to my laptop screen, this year has proved to be one I wouldn't trade for all the rest and relaxation in the world.

Since those first 10 stories on the site, Macomb Patch has posted more than 2,200 articles, with topics ranging from caramel apples to medical marijuana moratoriums.

I've had the pleasure of meeting many of you in the past year and look forward to making it around to all 84,000 Macomb Township residents by next year.

Wish me luck.

In the meantime, Macomb Patch will continue to attend the school board meetings, Halloween Hooplas and new business ribbon cuttings to bring you the most comprehensive news about the town you call home.

But I can't do it alone.

In this next year ahead, I need your news tips, photos and comments on the website to make Macomb Patch as much yours as it is mine. Macomb Patch began as a community news website and has only strengthened its resolve to continue as such. You are the community and your stories are our news.

Happy one-year anniversary!
