Viewfinder: Vintage Cars Take Center Stage at Shelby Car Show
Car buffs were revved up for the Cars R Stars Concours and Swap Meet Auto how at the Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Township.
The polished paint was shining and classic rock n' roll was playing in the air at the Cars R Stars and Swap Meet Automobile Show at the Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Township.
The show, which took place on Sunday, June 12, drew large crowds early in the day to meet other auto aficionados.
"I love coming out to see the cars and meet people," said Larry Powell of Warren. "Car people are some of kindest, nicest people you'll ever meet."
Tony Yauch was out with his 1971 Oldsmobile and also said the event was great, the people were fun, and he hoped to check out his dream car, the 1970 Plymouth SuperBird.
The annual event also features a fleamarket and concessions so people of all ages can enjoy a hotdog or snack in between checking out the rare and vintage cars.
