What Chippewa Valley's School Board is Considering at Tonight's Meeting
The board meets at 6:30 p.m. today at the district administration building. Here's an overview of what trustees will discuss.
The Chippewa Valley Schools board of education meets at 6:30 p.m. today in the district administration building on Cass Avenue.
There is an opportunity at the start of the meeting for members of the community to speak. A "From the Community" form can be printed off and filled out ahead of time, or picked up and turned in prior to the start of the meeting.
The following is a short overview of some of the items on the agenda:
- New Board Policy No. 7250/Commemoration and Naming of Facilities: First discussed at the board's Sept. 19 meeting, the issue has been tabled since. This issue stems from a request to create a district policy to allow the naming of school facilities to commemorate the work of outstanding employees or community. The board is divided on whether to create such a policy.
- Approve Bid Award for Fire Suppression System: The board is asked to approve an annual contract with Gallagher Fire Equipment in the estimated annual amount of $11,661.80, for district-wide fire suppression services for the maintenance department. Funding will come from the general fund.
All meetings are open to the public and held in the boardroom of the Chippewa Valley Schools Administration Building, located at 19120 Cass Avenue in Clinton Township.
