More About Dakota High School
Home to the Cougars, Dakota High School prides itself on academic excellence, support of the arts and athletic prowess. The 2006 and 2007 Division I State Champion football team shares its stadium with the Cougar Marching Band, Dakota Cheerleading Squad and Dance Team, and the school's theatrical productions are eagerly awaited each year. More than a dozen other sports and organizations offer students the opportunity to volunteer in the community, play on competitive teams and associate with peers sharing similar interests. An active and successful booster organization brings students, teachers and parents together to support Dakota's athletic and fine arts programs. Co-op internships, career technical courses and advanced placement courses help students prepare for the next phase of their lives, and the Guidance and Counseling Office offers academic advising, career planning and personal development. Numerous tutoring services are also offered by teachers, peers and online resources available through the Clinton-Macomb Public Library.
