The Macomb Township board of trustees is scheduled to approve the township's 2012-13 budget tonight following a public comment session.
Macomb residents are invited to address their questions and concerns on the budget to the township board during a public hearing shortly after the start of the 7 p.m. meeting at Town Hall.
The 2012-13 budget will cover the fiscal year starting July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013.
The most recent draft of the proposed budget shows expenditures ($51.6 million) exceeding revenues ($45.6 million).
The proposed budget is available on the township website and copies will be provided at the meeting.
The township board will also set millage rates for 2012-13.

More About Macomb Township Town Hall
Macomb Township officially came into existence on March 7, 1834. The original township offices were located on 23 Mile Road, but in 2004, construction was completed on the Macomb Township Town Hall on Broughton Road, just off of 25 Mile Road. Township departments housed in the hall include: the Supervisor's Office, Clerk's Office, Treasurer's Office, Building Department, Elections Operations, Finance Operations and the Planning Department. The hall also hosts weekly and monthly meetings of the Macomb Township Board of Trustees, Planning Commission and Zoning Board, all of which are open to the public. All water bill payments must be made through the Treasurer's Office.
