Books-A-Million Holiday Book, Toy Drive to Benefit Macomb Charitable Foundation

Books-A-Million stores cross the country will be supporting local charities this month through their annual toy and book drives, with the Roseville location benefiting the Macomb Charitable Foundation.

"We are hosting a toy and book drive this holiday season to assist The Macomb Charitable Foundation as they help children living at or below poverty level in Macomb County," said Jacob Redmon, general manager of Books-A-Million in Roseville, in a prepared statement.

Through Christmas Eve, customers can visit the Roseville location and purchase a book or toy that will be donated to the Macomb Township-based charity. Those purchasing books, can also include a personalized bookplate with their donation, allowing the gifts to be donated in someone’s honor or memory.

"The children we visit are living in shelters, staying in motel rooms, and sadly, sometimes sleeping in the family vehicle. So, something as simple as a new book is a luxury to most of the kids we serve," said MCF President Shelly Penzien, in a prepared statement.

The 2012 Holiday Book and Toy Drive will be held in all of BAM’s 259 locations. Customers should contact their local BAM! to learn more about the charity each store will be supporting.
