Chippewa Valley Adult & Community Education Opens Registration for Fall Programs

Fall classes and programs offered through Chippewa Valley Schools Adult & Community Education will begin in September. The complete fall brochure containing the dates and times of these activities is now available online. 

There are three methods of registering for Chippewa Valley ACE programs: online, https://onlinereg.cvs.k12.mi.us; mail-in, CVS Adult & Community Education 50375 Card Rd., Macomb, MI 48044; or walk-in registration, CVS Adult & Community Education () 50375 Card Rd., Macomb, MI 48044, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

GED preparatory and ABE classes are free for students age 20-plus who register before Sept. 16.

Aquatic Programs

Recreational and swim instructional programs are held at and Chippewa Valley high schools. Swim students are evaluated through the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program.    

Youth Enrichment

Classes begin the week of Sept. 19, for six weeks. There are a variety of class offerings that meet under the following categories:

Computer Skills Development Program

This program is held in a state-of-the-art computer lab at the Community Education Center. The program is designed to teach a variety of software programs to enhance employability skills or further develop current computer knowledge. The center is a Microsoft Office specialist testing center.

English as a Second Language

Classes for adults meet Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon and 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Registration is ongoing. 

Little Turtle Early Childhood

Registration for the 2011-12 school year is taking place at . Preschool locations for the 2011-12 school year are: Little Turtle, Cherokee Elementary, and Clinton Valley Elementary.
