Community Programs Open for Spring, Summer Season

The program catalogs for the Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department and Chippewa Valley Schools Adult and Community Education Department are now available.

Although the school year is coming to a close, community classes and activities are just getting started through the Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department and Chippewa Valley Schools Adult and Community Education Department.

Macomb Township residents should receive the Spring R.E.A.C.H. catalog in their mailboxes in the next two weeks. The majority of Chippewa Valley ACE classes will begin the week of April 25.

Both programs offer a variety of classes ranging from sports clinics and aquatics to foreign language and fine arts, such as music, dance, art and drama.

In preparation for all the part-time jobs that come with summer break, both programs will also offer babysitter-training courses. A lifeguard course is also available through Macomb Township.

There are three methods of registering for Chippewa Valley ACE programs: online, https://onlinereg.cvs.k12.mi.us; mail-in, CVS Adult & Community Education 50375 Card Rd., Macomb, MI 48044; or walk-in registration, CVS Adult & Community Education () 50375 Card Rd., Macomb, MI 48044, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Macomb residents can begin registering for Macomb Township Parks and Recreation programs online at 6 a.m. on April 25. Residents can also walk in and mail in registrations before noon on April 25 at the . Open registration begins at 6 a.m. on April 28.
