Construction on Romeo Plank Road north of Hall is causing headaches for local drivers as the major thoroughfare has been reduced to one lane in each direction.
Orange barrels have littered the area all week and are expected to remain in place until Saturday morning at the latest, according to the Macomb County Department of Roads.
Road crews are reconstructing the road and were pouring the last of the new concrete on Thursday. One lane should remain open in each direction for the duration of the project.
