Endless Guernsey Chocolate Milk at Michigan State Fair

Michigan State Fair in Novi: Corn dogs, funnel cakes and just about anything fried is what most people expect to eat at a state fair. Rest assured, fried foods abound at this year's Michigan State Fair, which runs through Monday at the Suburban Collection Showplace. But this year, you'll also be able to find fresh, local Michigan fruits and vegetables at the Michigan State Fair Farmers Market, as well as an endless supply of Guernsey chocolate milk for $1.  

Arts, Beats & Eats in Royal Oak: More than 50 of the area's most-loved restaurants will set up shop on the downtown Royal Oak streets. Even if you're a picky eater, there's a little something to satisfy everyone's taste-buds, from summer delights to seafood to decadent desserts. The festival runs all weekend.
