'Fifty Shades of Grey' in High Demand at Clinton-Macomb Library

The controversial book has more than 150 holds on it in the Clinton-Macomb Public Library.

No doubt lured by the book's promise to "obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever," a steadily growing number of patrons are queueing up to get their hands on the lusty novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.

As of Saturday afternoon, not one of the library's six copies were available, and with 155 holds, it's likely the book won't appear on shelves for several months.

While the waiting list for the Kindle eBook is slightly shorter–only 79 patrons as of Saturday–buzz over E.L. James racy and controversial novel is still going strong and waiting lists aren't expected to shorten anytime soon.

Dozens of CMPL patrons are also on waiting lists for Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, the second and third installments of the three-book series. The library has three copies of each, none of which are currently available. 

However, if you're still on the fence about this book, , an L.L.P.C. who practices at The Counseling Center for Women in Rochester. It'll either convince you that this is a must-read, or put you off the Shades series entirely.
