Open Networking Events, Inc. will hold several local food drives to benefit the Macomb Food Program.
All canned and nonperishable food will be accepted as the Macomb Food Program contributes to 55 pantries throughout the county to feed approximately 5,000 families or 12,000 individuals each month.
“Local organizations such as ONE are critical to the Macomb Food Program mission of feeding the hungry in Macomb County,” said Linda Azar, Food Program coordinator. “Food drives help us to ensure that families receive a variety of high-protein items.”
Representatives from ONE, Inc. will be at the VG’s Grocery located at 40832 Ryan Road in Sterling Heights from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14-15. Food collection boxes are also in place at 14 other locations throughout September.
