Get Out: Patch Party, Victorian Days and Mystery Dinners

Spaghetti dinners, golf outings and pet adoptions are all happening around town this weekend.

MACOMB PATCH'S 5-MONTH ANNIVERSARY AT SHIELD'S
Where/When: Shield's Pizza, 50750 Romeo Plank Road (at 23 mile), 6-9 p.m. May 19
Why Go: Patch is turning five months old and wants to celebrate its success with the community that made it all possible.
Pricing: The party is free and Patch guests get special discounts on food and drinks all night. 


Where/When: Rosie O' Grady's, 36759 Mound, Sterling Heights; 6-10 p.m. May 19.
Why Go: The team is holding a fundraiser at Rosie O'Grady's for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. Enjoy silent auctions, a beer pong tournament, pizza and more.
Pricing: $10 per person gets you pizza, pop and wings.

Where/When: ; 6:30 p.m. May 19 and 21.
Why Go: Aspen on Hall holds Murder Mystery Dinners, including the theme, "Murder at the Church Festival," this weekend. All Shows are by Cecilia Bouchard.
Pricing: Cost is $20 per person and includes dinner and interactive show. Call 586-226-8838 to make a reservation

Where/When:; 6 p.m. May 20.
Why Go: Church of the Covenant is planning a spaghetti dinner, and everyone is welcome. Pastor Chet Decker from Warren Woods Church of the Nazarene will give a short talk about the Nazarene Church Hope Center and about families in need of food. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., with spaghetti, salad and refreshments, and Decker will speak at 7 p.m.
Pricing: No charge for dinner, but free will offerings will be accepted.

Where/When: ; 8 a.m. May 21.
Why Go:  is planning its 18th Annual Golf Outing, to be held May 21 at Cracklewood Golf Course. An 8 a.m. shotgun start is planned, with banquet-style luncheon following the 18-hole scramble. Plus, contests for longest drive and closest to the pin are planned and included as part of the outing, as are the mulligans, beverages on course, door prizes and group photo. The foursome with the highest score will win a door prize, and other prize opportunities are available for teams.

Where/When: Downtown Romeo; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 21.
Why Go: Enjoy a real blast from the past with the sixth annual Romeo Victorian Festival, with Civil War re-enactors, walking tours, street performances, vintage bicycles and model trains on display, antique trolley rides, garden party fun and much more.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: Stony Creek Metropark, 4300 Main Park Dr., Shelby Township; noon-3 p.m. May 22.
Why Go: It's Shelby Vet Client Appreciation Day and everyone is welcome to find a new best friend. Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be available for adoption. Event benefits homeless animals of Paws for Life. 
Pricing: $5 park entrance fee. Event is free.
