Grab & Go Kids Planner: Bike Rodeo, Spring Crafts and Star Gazing

Bike rodeos, fairy tale ballets, astronomy fun and more for your family this week.


Where/When: Macomb Center for the Performing Arts; 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., May 6, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. May 7.
Why Go: See the Macomb Ballet Company bring the classic fairy tale "Snow White" to life on the stage.
Pricing: $15 adults; $12 seniors/students.

Where/When: Chippewa Valley High School; Saturday, May 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: Feeling crafty? Need a gift for mom? Come shop at the Chippewa Valley High School Band Booster Spring Craft Fair.
Pricing: $2 admission. No strollers.

Where/When: Downtown Mount Clemens (at Macomb Place and Main); Saturday, May 7, 1-3 p.m.
Why Go: The Mount Clemens Kiwanis Club is holding a Bike Rodeo, where everyone can enjoy bike safety classes, safety checks, tune-up demos, finger printing and child ID, fire safety, a decoration station, bike parade, goodie bags, a visit from Rosco the Clown, giveaways and more.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Lorenzo Cultural Center; Saturday, May 7, 2 p.m.
Why Go: The Lorenzo Cultural Center caps off its latest exhibit, The 1950s: Affluence and Anxiety in the Atomic Age, with a tribute to each of the branches of the military service and the veterans who served in the Korean War, including a military honor guard and military band.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Wolcott Mill Historic Center; Saturday, May 7, 2-4 p.m.
Why Go: Astronomy Day is celebrated worldwide to promote awareness of the skies. Those who attend will make crafts, take a solar system walk and view the sun with a solar telescope.
