Labor Day Weekend: What's Closed in Macomb Township?
Government offices, schools and even the library will close for portions of Labor Day weekend.
Labor Day 2012 is Sept. 3. Here are a few of the holiday closures you'll find around Macomb Township:
Macomb Township Government Offices
- Closed Monday, Sept. 3
Macomb Township Recreation Center

Modified hours of operation Monday, Sept. 3
- Facility Hours: 6 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Open Swim: Noon-4 p.m.
- Lap Swim: 6 a.m-noon
The Aquatics Center will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 4 to Friday, Sept. 7, with Gymnasiums A & B, Aerobics Room #1, and Tadpole Town (Child Watch) closed Tuesday, Sept. 4 to Sunday, Sept. 9.

Clinton-Macomb Public Library
- Closed Saturday, Sept. 1-Monday, Sept. 3
Immanuel Lutheran School
- Friday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 3 – No school
St. Peter Lutheran School
- Friday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 3 – No school
Lutheran High School North
- Friday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 3 – No school
Public Schools Return
- Chippewa Valley Schools, L'Anse Creuse Public Schools, New Haven Community Schools and Utica Community Schools start Sept. 4.
- Oxford Academy Montessori also returns Sept. 4
Macomb County Government Offices and Courts
- Closed Friday, Aug. 31 and Monday, Sept. 3
- This closure excludes emergency services and 24/7 operations
- County offices and courts will re-open at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4
