Library Hosts Clearance Book Sale for Summer

The Clinton-Macomb Public Library Main Library will sell a variety of genres for $1 each at the Friends of the Library sale on Friday and Saturday.

To aid local residents in their summer reading, the Clinton-Macomb Public Library is hosting a clearance used book sale at the Main Library on Friday and Saturday.

The collection will be mostly withdrawn library materials in a variety of genres, including children’s books and textbooks.

“This sale will be smaller than usual, but we’ll have a great variety of materials at a good price,” said Mary Russo, president of the Friends of the Library, in a release.

All books will sell for $1 and children’s books for $1 an inch.

Proceeds will be used to help the Friends of the Library support programs held at the library, such as Sunday concerts and the summer reading club.

The sale will be held in Conference Room B at the Main Library from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

“This is an excellent opportunity for people to get gently used books just in time to join the summer reading club at the library,” said Jamie Morris, community relations specialist, in a release.
