More Than 1,500 Without Power in Macomb

More than 1,500 households in Macomb Township are without power Monday after heavy winds Sunday, according to DTE Energy.

According to MLive, more than 450,000 in Michigan are without power following the storms. DTE officials have reported it could take several days to fully restore power in affected areas. 

The outages closed more than 100 schools around Metro Detroit.

High winds are expected to continue today, with gusts up to 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
