Power Line Repair Forces Traffic to One Lane on 26 Mile, West of North Avenue

Repair crews are blocking the eastbound lane of 26 Mile Road near Endeavor Middle School. Traffic can still travel in both directions, but only via the westbound lane.

The power lines along 26 Mile Road, just east of North Avenue, which were damaged by yesterday's strong winds are still being repaired this afternoon.

Work crews are currently on the scene, with repair vehicles blocking the eastbound lane of 26 Mile Road.

Traffic can still travel in both directions, but it has been reduced to one lane near the entrance of Endeavor Middle School.

Crews looked to be finishing repairs around 1 p.m. Tuesday, but it is unknown what time the road will fully reopen.

The downed lines forced New Haven Community Schools to close two of its bus routes on 26 Mile and 29 Mile yesterday, but Superintendent Keith Wunderlich said Tuesday's schedules should be unaffected.
