Thousands of Books, DVDs Collected for Clinton-Macomb Library's Fall Sale

The Friends of the Library will host their annual fall used book sale at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library's main branch Oct. 18-21.

Clear some space on your bookshelves, Clinton Township, the Friends of the Clinton-Macomb Public Library are hosting their annual fall used book sale this week.

The sale will take over all meeting rooms at the library's main branch on Romeo Plank, including three "special rooms" where library patrons can find audiovisual items, children's books and quality books. All other books will be sorted by genre and alphabetized by author in the library's auditorium.

The sale, which opens to the general public Thursday, Oct. 18, is one of the largest used books sales in Macomb County.

Proceeds from the sale are used to fund library programs such as the Sunday concert series, summer reading clubs and all other library programs.

Sale Schedule

  • Oct. 17: Friends members only, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Membership is available at the door for $15.
  • Oct. 18: Sale opens to the public, noon-8 p.m.
  • Oct. 19-20: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Oct. 21: Bag sale, 1:15-3:15 p.m. Shoppers can purchase a bag of books for $5.

Strollers, electronic scanners and cell phones are prohibited in book sale rooms.
