Waste Management Starts Yard Waste Collection in April

Yard waste should be clearly marked as such and placed at least 4 feet from other trash on regular collection days.

Get your trimming shears and paper bags ready, Macomb, Waste Management will start collecting yard waste this month.

Yard waste collection takes place from the beginning of April to the end of November, and is offered to all township residents.

Residents can place yard waste in 96-gallon curb carts, brown paper yard bags and 32-gallon cans that are clearly marked "Yard Waste." The marking on the carts and cans should face toward the street so Waste Management drivers can identify these as yard waste. Yard waste placed in designated paper bags need not be marked in any special way.
