Wet Weather Raises Water Levels of Clinton River

After two days of rainy conditions, water levels for the Clinton River were high at Macomb Corners Park and other areas of Macomb Township.

Two days of rain mean elevated water levels for the Clinton River in Macomb Township on Friday.

At Macomb Corners Park, the river was high after two days of rain.

Macomb Township and much of southeastern Michigan had been under a flood watch from Wednesday until Friday morning, though that watch has now expired.

But the wet weather is not over. According to the National Weather Service, Macomb Township can expect rain and snow showers Friday night and Saturday, with temperatures in the low 30s on Friday night and in the mid-40s on Saturday.
