BRAvo Night Gives Boost to Battle Against Breast Cancer

Think pink. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center and the Ted B.Wahby Cancer Center are hosting BRAvo Night to raise awareness for and offer support to those affected by breast cancer.

BRAvo will be held from 6-10 p.m. Wednesday, at the Mirage in Clinton Township. Guests will enjoy appetizers, a BRAtini bar and cocktails, plus two auctions.

The silent auction will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., featuring the top 12 decorated bras from an online election.

A live auction of celebrity-autographed brassieres follows, beginning at 7:45 p.m. Kid Rock, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, and many others inked their names on blinged-out bras, to help the cause.

Proceeds from BRAvo will benefit Mount Clemens Regional's Ted B. Wahby Cancer Center to help women in the community, including providing free mammograms to uninsured women in the county.
