Cemetery Walk and Funeral Tea

The Crocker House Museum holds its fifth annual Cemetery Walk today. A funeral tea will be held at noon, where visitors can sample foods that are traditionally served at wakes, with this year's focus being on Irish customs. Then guests will tour the museum, decked out in 1880s-style decor, with re-enactors bringing the past to life, as guests can learn about Victorian mourning customs. Every half-hour guests will leave by bus for Clinton Grove Cemetery, which is more than 150 years old. 

Cost for the walk alone is $10 for Macomb Historical Society members, or $15 for non-members. Funeral tea tickets are $30 for members, and $35 for non-members. To buy tickets, call 586-465-2488.
