Dakota Bands Winter Concert

What better way to get in the holiday spirit -- or take a break from the holiday planning -- than with the Dakota Bands winter concert! The Dakota Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will present their winter concert at 7 pm Dec. 7 at Dakota High School, 21051 21 Mile Rd., Macomb. The bands will perform holiday favorites including “’Twas the Night Before Christmas”, “Sleigh Ride” and the music of Percy Grainger. The three Dakota performing ensembles, under the direction of Risa Hsu, consistently earn first division ratings at Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association (MSBOA) festivals. The concert is free and open to the public; however the Dakota Bands will be collecting donations at the door of canned goods, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items for the Cougar Closet – a program housed in the Dakota Ninth Grade Center to assist the needy of Macomb.
