Economics of the 1950s

On March 24 at 11 a.m., Charles Ballard, Ph.D., professor, Michigan State University, examines Michigan's economy at its peak in the 1950s. At the time the state had a booming manufacturing sector and unparalleled population growth. We'll discover how these seeds of phenomenal success led to the economic struggles of today. This presentation is part of a series of programs, The 1950s: Affluence and Anxiety in the Atomic Age, at the Lorenzo Cultural Center, Hall and Garfield roads, Macomb Community College’s Center Campus, Clinton Township.
