LCHS Bands Holding Patriotic Spring Concert

The L'Anse Creuse High School Bands are holding a Spring Concert 7 p.m. May 12 as a benefit for The Wounded Warriors Project, an organization that assists U.S. soldiers that have been wounded in the service to our nation.

The concert will include all-American patriotic music such as “An American Elegy” (tribute to those lost at Columbine), “Armed Forces Salute,” “The Unknown Soldier,” “America the Beautiful” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.” 

The jazz bands will perform many of the recognizable swing tunes made famous during WWII, including “Take the ‘A’ Train,” “String of Pearls,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and others.

“Guest musicians from the 338th U.S. Army Band Musicians will perform with our students at the concert,” said Russ Hilton, band director.

Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family at the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center box office at 24600 F. V. Pankow, Clinton Township, or by calling 586-783-6520.
