Lorenzo Center Presents: 'Mackinaw Mission: Window on Michigan's Statehood'
The Lorenzo Cultural Center's latest exhibit, Becoming Michigan: From Revolution to Statehood.
Visitors will learn about the state's early history via exhibits, presentations and activities.
On March 16, Keith R. Widder, who was curator of history at the Mackinac Island State Park for more than 25 years, will cover the Americanization of the fur-trade society which was centered around Mackinaw in the 1820s and 1830s. He'll talk about commerce, education, language, relationships among ethnic groups, and religious turmoil.

The program is free, but pre-registration is required.
Exhibits are free and don’t require advance registration to view. The Lorenzo Cultural Center is open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
