Lorenzo Center Presents: 'Rethinking Michigan Indian History'
The Lorenzo Cultural Center's latest exhibit, Becoming Michigan: From Revolution to Statehood.
Visitors will learn about the state's early history via exhibits, presentations and activities.
On March 21, Patrick Russell LeBeau, Ph.D., director of American Indian Studies at Michigan State University, will use a historical collection of essays to help promote a discussion of issues such as Indian treaty rights, the role of Native Americans in contemporary society and more in "Rethinking Michigan Indian History." Two programs are planned, one at 11 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m.

The program is free, but pre-registration is required.
Exhibits are free and don’t require advance registration to view. The Lorenzo Cultural Center is open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
