Lorenzo Center Presents: 'The Toledo War: The War Between Michigan and Ohio'

The Lorenzo Cultural Center's latest exhibit, Becoming Michigan: From Revolution to Statehood.

Visitors will learn about the state's early history via exhibits, presentations and activities.

On March 11, Alan Naldrett, archivist/librarian at Baker College and member of the Chesterfield Township Historical Society, will talk about the "war" that helped bring Michigan to statehood. You'll learn interesting "wartime" facts such the only fatality was a pig and a major skirmish involved the plunder of a vegetable garden.

The program is free, but pre-registration is required.

Exhibits are free and don’t require advance registration to view. The Lorenzo Cultural Center is open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
