Get Out: Black History, Birds and Romance

It's the end of the week. You're bored. You want something to do. You've come to the right place.

1. Where/When: Macomb Community College, central campus library, Thursday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m.
Why Go: Learn about Quinn Road and the Underground Railroad in Macomb County, an important part of our local black history.
Pricing: Free.

2. Where/When: Gibraltar Trade Center, Mount Clemens, Friday noon-9 p.m, and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Why Go: Get out of the cold and browse the afternoon away at Gibraltar. Get a psychic reading or your horoscope, or buy candles, crystals, supplements and more.

3. Where/When: English Gardens, Saturday, Feb. 12, at 1 p.m.
Why Go: If you have an orchid or you want to buy one, but you're not sure you're cut out to care for the delicate flower, attend this session and find out how to grow orchids. You'll learn feeding and watering methods and more.

4. Where/When: Ray Wiegand's, Saturday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.
Why Go: Wiegand's is hosting a class about birds. You'll learn many fascinating facts about our feathered friends, thanks to a visit from birding expert Roger Taylor from Wild Bird Radio.

5. Where/When: Macomb Center for Performing Arts, Sunday, Feb. 13 at 3 pm.
Why Go: It's only been called the greatest love story of all time. See it acted on the stage, the way Shakespeare intended.
