Where to Shop Pink Around Macomb Township to Support Breast Cancer Research

Breast Cancer Awareness month is drawing to a close, but there are still opportunities in and around Macomb Township to support local businesses and breast cancer research.

Hungry Howie's

For every pizza purchased during the month of October, Hungry Howie’s will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. In the last three years, Hungry Howie’s has raised almost $500,000 for the foundation. Customers can also add a $1 donation to their Hungry Howie’s order, which will go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Hungry Howie’s Facebook fans can also make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation through the company’s Facebook page. The brand will make a donation to the foundation for every new Facebook fan, every breast cancer story fans share on the Hungry Howie’s Facebook page, and every tweet using the hashtag #lovehopepizza.

H&M in The Mall at Partridge Creek

H&M is donating 25 percent of the total sales from the Pink Product collection during the month of October to the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Cancer initiative. Customers receive a tax-deductible receipt when they make a donation at H&M registers.

Creative Designs Care

Creative Designs Care sells specially-designed and often handmade apparel, jewelry and gifts to raise money for cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and autism. The store gives 25 percent of each sale to the American Cancer Society – Great Lakes Chapter, Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Michigan Chapter and Jack’s Place for Autism. The store is located at 39753 Garfield Rd.

Edible Arrangements

The New Baltimore Edible Arrangements store is featuring the Heels for Healing fruit bouquets and pink chocolate drizzled strawberries in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The two store owners will contribute 10 percent of their Heels for Healing proceeds to the National Foundation of Breast Cancer Awareness for education and treatment. The fun pink chocolate covered high heel shaped pineapple can also be sold separately as a pop for a fun snack, according to a news release.

Octavia Hair Design

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Octavia Hair Design is offering pink hair pieces and pink tinsel for $10. Proceeds will be donated at the end of the month.
