Gigi's Cupcakes Given Nod to Open Hall Road Store

A new sweet shop is headed to Macomb's Hall Road strip in spring 2012.

Life will get a little sweeter in Macomb Township this spring when Gigi's Cupcakes opens its first Michigan location at Hall Road and Romeo Plank.

A bake shop chain with more than 50 franchises across the U.S., Gigi's locations are all locally owned and operated.

Having recently received approval from the township's planning commission to set up shop in the storefront at 18353 Hall Road, just west of Romeo Plank, Gigi's plans to open in the spring, according to the company's website. However, no exact date has been set.
