Senior Complex, Orthodontics Office Soon to Flank St. Isidore Church in Macomb

Park Place senior living and Macomb Orthodontics are set to build on the vacant lots west and north of St. Isidore on 23 Mile Road and Romeo Plank.

Macomb Township’s seniors will have a new place to call home and a local orthodontist will have a new office when construction near is completed.

Macomb Township Clerk Michael Koehs said Park Place has purchased the lot directly west of St. Isidore on 23 Mile Road and is slated to build the township’s first senior citizen complex. A second complex, purchased by another company, is set to be built farther east on 23 Mile, near the .

There’s no official word regarding when construction will start, Koehs added. “They are on their own schedule. It’s exciting to have them here.”

Another business currently under construction near the church is , located north of St. Isidore on Romeo Plank. While crews have broken ground on this office building, it is unknown when construction will be complete. Macomb Orthodontics currently has offices on Romeo Plank, south of 22 Mile Road.

The nearest senior citizen residence is currently Sunrise Senior Living of Shelby Township, on Hayes Road near 21 Mile.

Calls to Park Place officials have not been returned, but it appears as if there’s already a Park Place operating under Senior Village Management in Warren. 

This southern Macomb County facility offers apartment homes with one, two, and three-bedroom floor plans, each featuring a full kitchen, walk-in shower, large closet, and a courtesy call system. Carports are available and pets are welcome at the Warren facility. There are various events planned such as Wii bowling and religious services, as well as live music, and happy hours. In addition, meals are provided.
