Macomb Township is home to numerous nurseries and greenhouses, all of which offer flowers, herbs, vegetables and more to fill local gardens.

With several plant exchanges planned in the next few weeks and local nurseries and greenhouses open for business, local gardeners have numerous opportunities to shop around for the best prices on their favorite flowers, herbs, vegetables and shrubs.

Macomb Township is home to more than a half dozen nurseries and greenhouses offering fresh seasonal plants. We've highlighted a few.

Ray Wiegand's Nursery provides a personalized department for diagnosing issues with live plants and giving advice for new gardeners. The nursery offers seminars for seasonal gardening needs and activities, and all plants are grown on-site or shipped from its growing facility based in Michigan.

Wade is a family-owned nursery that specializes in exotic and live plants. It offers a variety of plants, shrubs and trees, but the selection changes by the season. The nursery also provides landscape design and planting.

Boyka's Farm Market sells home-grown fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants. Located on 23 Mile Road, Boyka's opens every year in May. 

Olejnik is a family-owned and operated business that provides fresh and organic produce, perennials and a variety of garden flowers. The business is also an active member of the Michigan Farm Bureau. 

Located in Macomb for more than 20 years, Joe Randazzo's Nursery offers a variety of shrubbery and trees. The nursery also delivers and plants for an additional fee, depending on the size of the property and house location.
