BIG SPLASH! Red Carpet Event

The Sterling Heights Regional Chamber has joined forces with Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, Six Rivers Regional Land Conservancy and the Clinton River Watershed Council to promote the Blue Economy and highlight and protect the natural assets that make our region special.

 

Join us for a reception and screening of Green Fire, a documentary highlighting the life of Aldo Leopold, one of America’s greatest conservationists, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on September 26 at the beautiful and newly renovated Macomb Music Theater (31 North Walnut Street) in downtown Mt. Clemens.

Aldo Leopold is one of the most influential conservation thinkers of the twentieth century.  His writings have become a catalyst for our evolving ecological awareness and a classic in American literature.  This full-length documentary examines Leopold’s thinking, tracing how he shaped and influenced the modern environmental movement.  Leopold remains relevant today, inspiring projects all over the country that connect people and land.
